My Personal Experience with the Animal PAK Supplement

Hi! In this review I’ll be sharing my personal experience with the Animal Pak supplement by Ultimate Nutrition. Animal Pak is a multi-vitamin with 64 different ingredients (Yes, I just took the box and counted them all by hand, so it’s 64). This multi-vitamin has been around for ages, and was first introduced to the public in the 80’s (1984 to be correct).

The main reason for me to choose this particular supplement is simple, and some of you may call it foolish: I just don’t have time to buy\eat\prepare fruits and vegetables. There, I’ve said it. So I thought to myself: “This thing contains like 60 something’ vitamins and minerals, since I don’t really bother adding fruits and veggies to my diet plan, I can just take these pills and close this “vitamin” corner…”

There are 2 types of Animal Pak boxes:  1 with 24 packets and the other one has 44. I buy the 44 one because it’s just dirt cheap and to be honest I’d say it’s the cheapest bodybuilding supplement I use (I also use protein powder, HMB, Omega 3, Glutamine, Creatine, and BCAAs).

Each packet contains 11 pills, some are REALLY big and some are small. I just take them 1 by 1 starting with the biggest and then I take the last 3 at the same time. I also noticed that I always take them in the exact same order, maybe it’s OCD J

The effects I feel are as follows: ENERGY. Period. I feel that I’m a lot more energetic, healthier, stronger, and that my body gets all the nutrition it needs and then some more. Perhaps, it’s a psychological effect as well, but who cares as long as it makes you stronger and healthier.

Some of my friends take opti-men (it’s a multi-vitamin by optimen, but not as hardcore as the Animal Pak) and laugh at me because Optimen only contains 3 pills per serving and I gotta swallow down 11 pills every day (with breakfast or with post-workout shake), but I see measurable results with AP so I keep taking it.

Another thing for those of you who want to take Animal PAK or any multi-vitamin: it might give you something that we call: “Vita-Piss”, which is making your pee so yellow that you’ll think it could glow in the dark. It happens because of the high B12 dosage in these supplements and the best way to avoid it is to follow probably the best health\bodybuilding advice in the world: DRINK A LOT OF WATER!

By the way, before I forget I want to mention that the PAK got nothing to do with Pastillas Para Bajar De Peso - means "diet pills" in spanish. The PAK is NOT diet pills!

Considering everything I said above, don’t mistake the PAK for a replacement of a good diet. My diet is “German-Clock” perfect and the PAK really helps to support it, but it’s only a bonus and I’ve been working out and getting great results without it for most of my life. That said, it really does help, and other than Creatine and Protein Powder, I’d say it’s the only product that actually gives you REAL effects in the gym and in your everyday life.

If you have any questions, I’d love to answer them all so feel free to leave them in the comment section below!
